Remaining Relative Visa
This is an Australian permanent visa available to a remaining close relative of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen.
Visa requirements:
- the Australian sponsor has to be the last remaining relative of the applicant
- must meet health and character requirements.
What this visa allows you to do:
- access to Australia’s publicly funded universal health-care system (Medicare)
- full work and study rights
- unlimited travel facility for up to 5 years
- this visa subclass is capped and currently the waiting period is approximately 30 years.
