Partner Visa

This is a two stage, two (2) year visa (temporary stage and permanent stage) for married couples and/or couples in a relationship with an Australian Permanent resident or an Australian citizen over 12 months or longer to join their partners to live in Australia.

What this visa allows you to do:

full work and study rights in Australia
access to Australia’s publicly funded universal health-care system (Medicare)
multiple travel facility to and from Australia.

Visa requirements:

must be at least 18 years of age
must meet health requirements
must meet character requirements.

Visa conditions:

must continue to be in a genuine relationship with the sponsor until the grant of a permanent visa (unless special circumstances apply).
