Permanent Contributory Parent Visa

Allowing parents of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia permanently. Current visa cost is approximately A$43,600. However, if you were holding a Temporary Contributory Parent Visa for two (2) years, then the additional payment will be approximately A$19,420.

Visa requirements:

child of the applicant must be over 18 years of age, must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or an eligible New Zealand citizen settled in Australia
half or more than a half of the applicant’s children must be settled in Australia (not in any other country)
must meet health and character requirements
an Assurance of Support must be provided along with Permanent Contributory Parent visa application.

What this visa allows you to do:

work in Australia
access to Australia’s publicly funded universal health-care system (Medicare)
sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residence in Australia.
